White Wing Bird Toys is a Canadian owned business which provides a creative selection of handmade toys and swings made from bird safe, high quality materials which are tested out by our personal flock of Budgies and Cockatiels. All toys are created to be mentally stimulating, interactive and just plain fun to preen and destroy. We primarily focus on the natural materials and fibers such as: soft and hard wood, coconut, seagrass, willow, veggie tanned leather, bamboo shredders, loofah, paper, sisal, cotton as well as Paulie Rope, with a few beads and charms thrown in for a little colour. Our line of toys are designed for the small parrot species such as Budgies, Parrotlets, Linnies, Lovebirds, Cockatiels, Conures and the larger Parakeets. All toys are made once the order is placed, so that they are created just for your avian friend. We are always looking for new and innovative designs, so if you have any particular requests in regards to materials, colours or design, just let us know so the toys can be created according to your (and your parrot’s) specifications.

We have several small parrots who are part of our family including four cockatiels named Ronan, Rhiannon, Kayla and Tiki. As if this isn’t enough, there are three budgies named Odin, Thor and Tristan. The menagerie doesn’t end there; we also have a dog named Freya, several fresh water tropical fish in an indoor aquarium and countless goldfish and Koi living in two outdoor ponds. I live in a small town in rural Southern Ontario, and have spent several years working in the horticulture field as well as creating my own small bit of bird watching paradise in my own back yard. Artistic endeavors have always been a focus in my life, including taking a fine arts degree at York University, focusing on painting and drawing. I’ve always had a pencil in hand from a young age, ready to render what ever caught my fancy or didn’t run away fast enough. It seems logical in many ways that my love of birds, both indoor and outdoor, combined with an artistic background should lead to crafting bird toys. Barbara
